Terms of use

Last updated 2 September 2026. By using amyneion.com or its public API you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

Read this first, because it is the term that matters. Do not submit protected health information, patient records, or any data identifying a real person to this website or its API.

The API is a public demonstration endpoint. No Business Associate Agreement covers it, it is not a HIPAA-covered service, and it is not an approved destination for clinical data. Nothing sent to it is stored — but the act of transmitting patient data to an unapproved endpoint is itself the problem, and storage is not what makes it one.

1. What this service is

Amyneion is software for identifying which patients meet the eligibility criteria of clinical trial protocols. This website is a public demonstration of that software. It exists so that the engine's behaviour can be inspected rather than described.

Everything patient-shaped on this site is synthetic. The cohorts on /demo/ and /navigator/ are generated by a seeded random process; they describe no one. No real patient record has ever been processed by anything reachable from this domain.

2. What this service is not

Not medical advice, and not a clinical decision. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, or recommends treatment for anyone. It does not replace the judgement of a clinician and must not be relied on for any care decision.

Specifically, and without limiting the above:

3. Trial listings come from a public registry

The trial listings on /trials/ are retrieved live from ClinicalTrials.gov, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine. That content is theirs, not ours.

4. Acceptable use of the API

The API is offered openly so that reviewers can test the engine. In using it, you agree:

The API may change, rate-limit, or be withdrawn at any time and without notice. Do not build anything that depends on its availability.

Reporting a security issue

If you find a vulnerability, please write to [email protected] before disclosing it. We would rather hear from you than not.

5. Availability and changes

This site is provided as a demonstration and may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. We do not commit to any level of uptime, and published figures change as the software changes.

6. No warranty

This site, its content, and its API are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any output is accurate or complete.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amyneion and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use this site or its API, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The software, site content, and documentation are the property of their authors. Trial registry content belongs to ClinicalTrials.gov and the National Library of Medicine. The Archivo typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License. Published research cited on this site belongs to its authors and is cited with a link to the source.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
